We're a small team. Two riders, five kids, two dogs. No support ticket queue, no chatbot, no offshore script reading from a doc. Andrew or Brandy reads every email and answers it from a real keyboard, usually within a day.

§01

TESTFLIGHT ACCESS

The app isn't on the App Store yet. Beta access ships through TestFlight (Apple's beta-test system). To get on the list, drop your email at the bottom of the home page. When TestFlight opens, we send a one-time invite link to that address.

To use TestFlight, install Apple's TestFlight app on your iPad first, then tap the invite link from the email on the iPad you'll be riding with. The invite expires after 90 days; if you missed it, email us and we'll resend.

TRAIL PACK WON'T INSTALL

Each pack is a single signed file (~15-25 MB). If a download stalls or fails, try:

  • Hit Wi-Fi. Pack downloads work over cell, but Wi-Fi is faster and more reliable. Once installed, the pack lives on the device forever.
  • Force-quit + reopen. Library → Browse Packs → tap the pack again. Partial downloads resume.
  • "Signature mismatch" error. Means the file got corrupted mid-download. Tap install again — the app will re-fetch and re-verify. If it persists, email us with the pack name and we'll check the catalog.

RIDE RECORDING PROBLEMS

Ride recording needs Always location permission so it keeps capturing breadcrumbs when the screen locks. Settings → Gather Offroad → Location.

Stop is a 1-second hold — that's deliberate, so a dash bump doesn't end your ride. Hold the Stop tile for one second; you'll see a fill animation confirm it.

If a recorded ride looks short or has gaps, the app probably lost GPS lock briefly (canyons, dense canopy). The path resumes when GPS comes back.

§04

TRAIL IS CLOSED, GATED, OR WRONG

Trail data comes from public sources, partner submissions, and rider corrections. If a trail in your pack is closed, gated, on private property, or just plain wrong on the map, email us with the pack name + trail name + what's wrong. We update packs and re-publish — your install gets the correction next time you tap "Check for updates" in the Library.

SIGN-IN AND ACCOUNT

Sign-in is optional. The app works fully without an account. The only reason to sign in (with Apple) is to bring your installed packs over when you switch to a new device.

To delete your account: Library → Account → Delete account. Soft-deletes immediately, hard-deletes after 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown of what we collect and don't.

BUG REPORTS & FEATURE REQUESTS

Email us. Include: device (iPad model), iPadOS version, app version (visible in Library → About), and what happened vs what you expected. Screenshots help. We read every one.
