Trails in our packs may have changed, closed seasonally, or been gated since we gathered the data. Public lands open and shut. Boundaries shift. Always scout conditions and ask locals before riding unfamiliar terrain. When in doubt, turn around.

Riding is your responsibility. We can't be held liable for accidents, injuries, mechanical failures, getting lost, getting stuck, getting cited, or any other outcome of using this app on or off the trail.

• One app, both devices. Install once on iPad or iPhone, ride either.
• Public trail packs you choose to download.
• Companion Mode. Pair an iPad and iPhone over local Wi-Fi to mirror ride state and control music between them.
• Optional account via Sign in with Apple, for cross-device install history.

• Don't try to break the app or hammer our servers at unreasonable rates.
• Don't share account credentials or attempt to impersonate other users.
• Respect the landowners and land managers whose trails appear in our packs.

Trail packs reference public sources like USGS, partner trail builders, and rider corrections. Each pack ships with color legends and credits for its region. Map tiles come from Mapbox and OpenStreetMap contributors. Thank them when you ride the trails.

We use a few service providers to keep the lights on: DigitalOcean for hosting and trail-pack file delivery, Postmark for sign-in and account-deletion emails, Mapbox for map tiles when you first download a pack, and Apple for Sign in with Apple. Each only sees the slice they need. None of them see your rides.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's Library → About sheet on the next launch after the change.

Gather Offroad is a ride-planning and ride-recording tool. Nothing more. Do not rely on this app for emergency services, search and rescue, or anything where lives are on the line. Cell coverage cuts out on remote trails. GPS drifts under canopy and in canyons. Trail conditions change with the weather.

Always carry a satellite communicator (inReach, ZOLEO, or similar). Always tell someone where you're riding and when you'll be back. The app is a tool. You are the rider.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gather Offroad and the people who built it are not liable for injury, death, property damage, lost rides, GPS drift, wrong trail data, missed turns, music skips, dead batteries, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages from your use of the app. You ride at your own risk. Always have. Always will.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. Any dispute that can't be settled by a phone call lands in a Virginia court. If a clause in here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still hold.
