Unlike trail systems in the East, Moab isn't a single managed system but rather dozens of individual trails across Bureau of Land Management, National Forest, and recreation area land. The town of Moab is the hub—UTVs are street legal in town (15 mph limit) so you can ride directly from lodging to most trailheads. Known for slickrock—200-million-year-old sandstone that provides exceptional grip, allowing UTVs to climb grades that would be impossible elsewhere.
