No fee required

NO ACCESS FEE. Kane Creek, Gemini Bridges, Poison Spider, Top of the World, all free to ride. Still need Utah OHV registration. BLM may have seasonal closures.

Guide permit required

BLM Special Recreation Permit (SRP) required for commercial guiding on ALL BLM land. Quarterly application windows. Contact BLM Moab Field Office.

Sand Flats Recreation Area

7-DAY pass: $10/vehicle (minimum 7-day). Bicycle/Motorcycle: $5/person. Annual: $35 (cardholder + passengers, NOT valid for camping). Camping: $20/night. Federal/state passes NOT accepted (except Access Pass). Covers Hell's Revenge, Fins & Things, Porcupine Rim access. 250,000+ annual visitors.

Utah OHV Non-Resident Permit

Non-residents: $30 permit valid 12 months. Online only (since Jan 2023). REQUIRED: Utah Off-Highway Vehicle Education Course (adults 18+ need approved adult OHV ed cert). All OHVs must have spark arrestor and muffler. Decal mailed 2-3 weeks; receipt valid as proof.

White Rim / Canyonlands NP

DAY USE: $6 online reservation via Recreation.gov (available 1 day in advance at 8am MT). FREE in-person at Island in the Sky Visitor Center. White Rim: 50 vehicles/day (25 online + 25 walk-up). CRITICAL: ATVs, UTVs, and OHVs are NOT permitted on White Rim Road. Licensed motorbikes, jeeps, trucks only. Also requires $30/vehicle Canyonlands NP entrance fee.

White Wash Sand Dunes

No fee required

NO FEE, free BLM land. ~1,400 acre open OHV area south of Green River, UT. Cross-country travel allowed ONLY within fenced open area. Outside dune area: must stay on designated routes. No facilities, no water. Still need Utah OHV registration. 48 miles NW of Moab.
